9 AM Sunday School

We are going to look at the topic of Islam, but more importantly, we are going to look at our faith/doctrine in contrast to it.  Islam is a foreign faith to the West (except when we import it, which is happening in our nation and our state), and, along with communism, is the primary persecutor of the Church worldwide and historically been at war with the Church for 1400 years.  But the people who practice it are made in the same image of the God of Scripture as we are, and we need to understand them and how they misunderstand the Gospel.

The goal here is to look at how Islam is built theologically to both better understand that faith (and why they do what they do compared with Christians), and more importantly, better understand our own faith.  In the process, everyone should come out of it with a greater appreciation of everything we have in Christ that the Muslim is absolutely denied and hopefully be better able to articulate why they should want it as well.

Please join us as you are able – it will be easy to join week to week (so don’t worry if you miss some), and open to young folks as well.  There’ll be lots of time for open discussion.
